Being asked to move your services to SY Plus? Take a moment before you sign
If your telecoms services were sold or managed through Zappie, you may have been contacted about moving to a new company called SY Plus Limited. Before you agree to anything, it is worth understanding exactly what has happened and what you would be signing up to. There is no obligation for you to sign a new agreement.
Who are SY Plus Limited?
SY Plus Limited (Company Reg: 17305479) is a telecoms company incorporated in June 2026. Some businesses previously served through Zappie are now being asked to move their services and sign new contracts with SY Plus.
Because SY Plus is a newly formed company, it has limited trading history under its current name. That is not a reason for alarm in itself, but it does mean it is sensible to understand exactly what you would be agreeing to before you commit, particularly if the new contract runs for several years.
Take your time, read the terms, and make sure the agreement works for your business, not just the party asking you to sign it.
Who are Zappie Networks and Zappie Comms?
There are two separate Zappie companies, and it helps to be clear about which is which
- Zappie Communications Ltd (Company Reg: 14499048) is the sales entity. Liquidators have been appointed and the company has entered a formal insolvency process (creditors’ voluntary liquidation). This has been recorded in The Gazette, the UK’s official public record for insolvency proceedings. View the official Gazette notice
- Zappie Network Services Ltd (Company Reg: 14475889) is the network operator. It is a separate legal entity and remains operational.
So the company that has entered liquidation is the sales business, Zappie Communications Ltd. If your services were sold or managed through that entity, it is worth checking where your contracts, phone numbers and connectivity actually sit today.
Contracts being transferred
When a provider enters an insolvency process and its customers are asked to re-sign with a newly established company, it is worth pausing before you commit.
Signing a fresh telecoms contract could tie your business into a multi-year agreement with a company that has limited trading history under its current name. Contracts held with the original company do not always transfer automatically, which means your phone numbers, broadband and mobile services could be affected if the changeover is not handled carefully.
Before signing anything, we would suggest:
- Checking who your current agreements are actually held with
- Confirming your business numbers and connectivity are protected
- Understanding the length and terms of any new agreement you are being asked to sign
- Watching for any separate finance or lease agreement bundled alongside the service contract, as these can run longer than the service itself
- Taking independent advice if you are unsure
A short review now can save a great deal of disruption later.
What can happen if services are disrupted
When a telecoms company runs into financial difficulty, the upstream carriers that supply the underlying phone and data services may review or suspend supply if payments are not maintained. This can lead to:
- Phone lines going down and business calls stopping
- Mobile disruption affecting remote and field teams
- Broadband outages that interrupt day-to-day operations
Restoring services after a disruption can be slow and difficult depending on how the situation is managed. Planning ahead and reviewing your setup now is the best way to protect continuity.
What a former Zappie customer told us
“Zappie did nothing but over charge, underdeliver, and hide layers of additional elements that ended up costing me a fortune through a leasing company.
James and Best4Business are the complete opposite. They approached me with a genuine desire to support and provide answers to questions that I had after Zappie Communications liquidated.
I wasn’t sold a dream, I wasn’t pressured to sign paperwork, and they cared more about my business and the impact that these events had and helped me find my way through it.
It’s good to know that there are some who still do right by people. Cannot recommend them enough.”
